A movie about my biggest hero, and music is by J-five - Modern times. Even though im not a fan of them, they made that song featuring Chaplins original one from Modern times, and sang about him. So, thats about the only thing i agreed to it.
Anyway, Chaplin was/is an Artist, and deserve to be remembered that way. He was, and still is, the most incredible man in our history. He did amazingly funny movies, that could make everyone crap their pants! With the warmest smile and the kindest eyes, he had the world in the palm of his hand. And even though his silent movies was his biggest hits - the Great Dictator made the world know that Chaplin was hilariously funny with dialouges also. There was nothing he did, that wasnt funny. Everything he touched turned to gold! A person with love for his family, and the world. With a heart and love so true and big, and the best dictator in our history. A true artist right to this day! Our dear beloved Tramp. I truly love him!

This specific song ended up at the number 4 spot in the contest.
Tommy Seebach (1949-2003) started out in the 60s as a popular member of the Danish rocknroll group "Sir Henry and His Butlers". In 1974 he went on as a solo-artist moving his way into the pop-genre. He participated eight times in the Danish ESC national final. 7 times as a performer of his own songs and one time as only the song writer for another artist. 3 times he won the contest, in 1979, 1981 and 1993. "Disco Tango" from 1979 was a hit in Southern Europe that year. Besides the contest he had a few hits in Denmark in the 70/80s with songs like: "Copenhagen", "I see the moon", "Du den dejligste" and "Du skaelder mig hele tiden ud". Outside of Denmark he is perhaps best remembered for his hilarious video of "Apache" from 1977. A video that includes weird facial hair, weirder facial expressions, sweet outfits, dancing apache girls, tents bought in a toy-store and lots of rockin in nature. It is now a cult-phenomena on the internet.
Tommy was also among other things recording-boss for EMI in Denmark in the 80s.

[in one fine day you seemed to be very open with your clothes]
i was in the water almost the whole day so i didnt need any ( :] ). no, but just in the beginning when we filmed in Australia i think i built a lot of muscle. but towards the end i lost most of it.
announcer: what do you mean you lost it? Gong Yoo showed us his strong muscles right to the end.

[what is the concept today]
im supposed to come across a woman with charming and beautiful hair, and without knowing it i start to follow her and am dragged by her essence.
announcer: who is the woman that Gong Yoo falls in love with at first sight? it is this person here. finally, the filming has started and the cool looking Gong Yoo appears in front of the camera. first he walks steadily to the girl. at that moment her hair falls smoothly on Gong Yoo. it seems like she wanted to impress Gong Yoo, but it scared him instead. (the bubble: you should have told me before you flipped your hair at me..) todays filming is supposed to be where the girl flips her hair casually and secretly onto Gong Yoos shoulder, but its a lot harder than they thought it would be. to limit the NGs they secretly used a different tactic. however, Gong Yoo is more ticklish by her hair which causes more NGs. Even so, Gong Yoo is able to pull it off with a charming look. This is not then end, though. This time instead of her hair, its the soft trail of her hand reaching Gong Yoo. It looks like here he doesnt mind it much, but i wonder what he was really thinking?
reporter: [her hand was down about right at that button there. howd you feel?]
gong yoo: um..
announcer: after thinking a while...
gong yoo: her face turned red ( ^___^ )
announcer: it looks like gong yoo has a childish side to him as well. ( XD )
reporter: i heard there was a kiss scene, too.

reporter: then is this the person who is getting ready for the kiss scene?

reporter:tan or healthy skin?
gong yoo: no. a person with an honest heart.
announcer: of course, gong yoo looks for an honest heart. wouldnt the condition of a girls heart be more important than a girls look? the last scene is the kiss scene and it looks like Gong Yoo has a bit of a nervous look. He acts tough and brings over the girl by the hand, but its still kind of an akward feeling between the two. being sort of embarassed, gong yoo evades the spot to regain himself.

announcer: maybe it worked. the two seem to be more comfortable with each other. its the feeling of love at first sight between two lovers. and it ended with a romantic and sweet kiss scene.

S.D. Batish sings Raga Manavati - 72 Carnatic Melakartas

The Batish familys prime directive in life if to further the music and fine arts of India. Thats what we do best. The patriarch of our family Pandit Shiv Dayal Batish and the founder of the institute has been a great personality on the Indian music scene since 1930. Sadly we lost this great musical genius recently. On July 29, 2006 he passed away leaving a great sense of loss and void in our hearts and soul. He was a true visionary. In the past 20 years, he dedicated himself to the creation of over 20 books on teaching Indian music and over 5000 compositions in North and South Indian ragas all designed to bring Indian music to a global audience. Our mission now is to take these gems and to produce them to the best of our abilities and release them to the World. Here is where we will be presenting excerpts and clips of this work in progress and we hope you will subscribe and perhaps help us in this production.
This video is dedicated to the memory of this musical saint. He was born Shiv Dayal Batish and was known in the Indian film and music industry as S.D. Batish But it was his guruji Shri Chandan Ram Charan that gave him the pseudonym "Rasik" You will find this name in most of the lyrics penned by him.
We present you today with a song from his CD "S.D. Batish, The 72 Carnatic Melakartas vol.1." It is a composition he wrote while researching the ragas of the South Indian music system. The 1st 12 Melakartas (Parent modes) are presented on the CD. This raga is called Manavati and is number 5 in the Carnatic system of 72 parent modes. The composition style is distinctly North Indian. He is accompanied on this video by his son Shri Ashwin Batish of Sitar Power fame.
S. D. Batish has been a stalwart on the Indian music scene since 1936. His songs have been broadcast from All India Radio nationwide. His old movies are regularly shown on Indian TV. He was a true master of the various vocal and instrumental styles of North Indian music, including Bhajans, Geet, Thumri, Ghazals, Film Sangeet, etc. Some of his outstanding films are Betab, Bahu Beti, Toofan, Harjeet, Tipu Sultan, Ham Bhi Kuch Kam Nahin, and Amar Keertan. His songs have been sung by such top artists as Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Talat Mahmood, Mohamad Rafi, Sudha Malhotra, Manna Dey, and Geeta Dutt. Some of his all time hit songs are, Pagadi Sambhal Jatta, Khamosh Nigahen, and Aakhen Kehe Gayi Dil Ki Baat.
In 1970 Pandit Shiv Dayal Batish moved to California, USA to teach music at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He loved this area and decided to make it his home. He wrote some of his greatest works here. Books to teach North Indian music, compositions on over 2200 Carnatic ragas and over 700 North Indian ragas, Instructional videos to teach the harmonium, vichitra veena, dilruba are just a few of the releases. He and his son Shri Ashwin Batish, also formed the Batish Institute of Indian music and Fine Arts - an educational Institute to teach Panditjis music and to further the cause of Indian music and culture in the Monterey Bay area.

Check out this Chutney song from Trinidad artist Neeshan Prabhoo aka "DHitman."
I admit. I love Chutney music. For those of you who are uninitiated in the genre, Chutney is the dance music of the Indo-Caribbean Desi diaspora. A unique fusion of Soca, (as well as Reggae and Dancehall sometimes) with traditional Indian music, Bollywood music and Bhangra.
Crossing cultural boundaries to be hugely popular in both the Caribbean and the Indian diasporic communities in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Suriname, Jamaica and their communities in America, Canada and the UK, the Chutney music is a highly influential musical genre that evolved alongside Soca. Even today, it provides a strong musical musical influence on Soca and Dancehall Reggae.
Neshan Prabhoo, also known as "The Hitman", is a popular Indo-Trinidadian chutney singer who first made it big in 1997 with "Doh hold me back"
Like most Chutney songs, it is mainly in English, but sung with the Indo-Trinidadian dialect that is a fusion of English and Hindustani.
For those who cant follow the lyrics, they are, like most Chuney songs, intentionally funny and hilarious: tounge-in-cheek, replete with sexual metaphors disguised as supposed quaint linquistical quirks (for example, "make meh tea" can basically mean "to f*** a helluva lot") that would pass unnoticed to those not in the know.
This song is about one guys wife who is always fussin with him about the copious amount of Rum he drinks, and why cant she just leave him alone.
The tune and dance of song was obviously inspired by the Daler Mehndi cult bhangra hit "Na na na re" showing just how much of a cultural kitchidi modern Indian music makes
