I Produced/filmed/edited this footage of Robin Lacy & Dezydeco in January of 2007 at my favorite Music Venue called The Southgate House which is in Newport,KY. This tune really uplifts me because I hear a great deal of soul, which makes me want to get up and dance every time that I hear it. This Band is also going to be represented on my "Blues Heroes of Cincinnati" Documentary which should be done by next year.

"The godfather of home taping has a catalog of OVER 400 cassette/cd albums of songs, experiments, rants, goofy tape edits, radio phone-ins, record skips...you name it, hes done it, and his tapes are full of it. This is one of his best. Recorded on 8-track in 1979-80, CLACK! is 60 minutes of some of his best songs. It starts out with his ace power-pop remake of the Big Boppers "Chantilly Lace", and it just gets better and better. His remake of Jim Reeves "I Love You So Much It Hurts" is so dead-on its scary. Other great knock-out tunes include the wonderful instrumental "Theme From Hurricane David", the beautiful "I Go Into Your Mind" (see video of 2004 remake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tUXzDrA8UI), the introspective "You Always Want What You Dont Have" , the new wave rocker "Same" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fik5hGrR_sM) and my personal favorite, "Part Of The Problem" (see video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8oEwxFnjB8). Historical photos of women wearing lace up corsets, picked up from all over the web, mainly French postcards but also other pre-1930 pics (staylace.com is good). Not in chronological order, Im afraid. A lot of people seem fascinated by the objects, although unlike a Kylie or Madonna, most of these women wore them over a chemise (or often, later, combinations and, later still, camiknickers). It is, however, an interesting bit of social history.(Scenes where someone has their foot in the small of someone elses back were meant as a joke - I hope.The pic at 4mins 35secs has obviously been faked.)
